En iyi WBRPG Listesi

Türkiyede herkesin severek oynadığı Ogame türündeki diğer oyunları hiç denedinizmi? Bu tür oyunlara WBRPG denilmekte yani Web Based Role Playing Games (İnternet tabanlı rol yapma oyunları). Malum sadece ismin olması pek bi yarar getirmeyecektir.

İşte Oyunlar:

#1 Runescape

Platform: Java, 100% graphical (Isometric 2D)
Genre: Fantasy
Play style: Click based with unlimited turns.
PvP: In the wilderness only.

Most RPG fans need no introduction to Runescape. Whatever it may lack in speed, it more than makes up for being a fully graphical WBRPG. That, and it's free to play with very few restrictions. With tons of skills to develop, plenty of geography to explore, PvP, quests galore, and crafting, it's hard login with nothing planned. In fact, if there is a single complaint I might have, it would be that some of the skills listed are more a nuisance than a feature. There are other fully graphical BLRPG's, but sadly, they are not of the "play-anywhere" type and so they have not made this list yet.

#2 The Damned Isle

Platform: PHP, Point & click tiled realm.
Genre: Fantasy
Play style: Turn based, 45 turns per day + referral bonuses.
PvP: During phases of a Bloodmoon or Full Bloodmoon.

The Damned Isle is a good example of a WBRPG done right. I'll list some of the features that have me hooked on this game. The realm is large and as you explore you can see creatures, other players, and building locations. Character creation and development is well structured allowing the player to control the growth of his own skills and stats. Character creations includes choosing your race, class, and god and yet you are not skill restricted for choosing a specific race so if you want to be a spell casting swordsman then it's up to you. In between the ever-popular hunting, there are lots of quests to complete and if you want, you can even try your hand at stealing from and killing other players. Skills have depth in the game such as "Huntsman" that allows you to hunt out other players to kill or steal from as well as "Site" that expands your vision and permits you to see more details. My only complaint about The Damned Isle is the forced vertical scrolling (a pet peeve of mine) and the lack of turns earned per day. But If you are a "thinker" like me then you will enjoy The Damned Isle.

#3 Realms of Loria

Platform: PHP, Point & click invisibly tiled realm with animated characters.
Genre: Fantasy
Play style: Click based with unlimited play time.
PvP: In the arena only

Realms of Loria has a unique charm about it. Like The Damned Isle, it is tile based but the tiles are seamless giving a unique top-down 2D in-game Ultima Style view of the world as you explore and wander around in search of creatures to hunt. Overall, the graphics are better in this game than #2 above and if not for the lack of quests and lore, RoL would be voted higher. But as it stands now, RoL is a leveling mill. New changes are around the corner though including an expansion of the geography, crafting, and wield requirements. The game also features in-game chat (local and server wide) and the ability to cast beneficial spells on your friends. Look for this game to climb the ranks in December once all of the updates are completed and the new realm rollout complete with character wipe will be complete.

#4 Legend of the Green Dragon

Platform: PHP.
Genre: Fantasy
Play style: Keyboard or click based with limited daily turns.
PvP: [Not sure yet]

This is a very entertaining game and popular game. On the day I was introduced to LOTG, 58 additional players were logged in. It is 100% text based but the writers are talented leaving you feel as if you are immersed even without the benefit of imagery. At times the game is also quite comedic; here is a sample of some combat dialog: "You have encountered Bar Fly which lunges at you with Alcoholism!" Members are limited to 13 turns per day that correlates to 13 fights but if you can manage a "flawless" fight in which you don't get injured, then you will win an extra turn. Getting to level 2 was easy using just those 13 turns, just remember to upgrade your armor and weapon every chance you get.

#5 No Where Else

Platform: 2D Java and PHP.
Genre: Fantasy
Play style: Keyboard or click based with unlimited play time.
PvP: In an arena type setting.

This game could use a truckload of polishing. But it offers some great features, if you can figure out how to get them working. This is a Java based 2D WBRPG. Some of the features include customized character appearances, create your own dungeon, create and manage your own island complete with quests for other players, and item inventor. My biggest complaints about this game are the silly quests that lack depth. Oh sure, any player can create a quest, but even the developer-authored quests seem to be lacking. The first quest picked up is riddled with bad grammar even worse than my own, it appears that English was a second language for the author. When the grammar seems to improve, the sudden joy is quickly extinguished for the child-like dialog. Here is an example of the dialog of guards in a church, still part of the first quest: "Guard 1: I dun' like 'dat face o' yours. Get outta here, an' I'll let ye keep yer head on yer neck where it b'longs. Guard 2: Yeah, y'heard Brok. Geddout or things'll start gettin' messy." *sigh*. Despite my cynical view, I couldn't help but to be drawn to the island manager, content that I could far outdo any former quests made. This was a tough one to judge. The features are great, but the overall feeling of being surrounded by infantile NPC's places this WBRPG at number 4.
